This variant is special because the darts are transferred into one curved dart from the side seam. If you sew this dart without cutting off the inside of the dart, you will have difficulties because the fabric will twist, so you should partially cut off the inside of the dart.
Step 1. Draw a new dart line and indicate in which direction the previous darts will be closed.
Step 2. Transfer the resulting lines to the cut-out template (the curved line should be transferred through transparent paper), cut the new lines, glue them to the sheet, closing the necessary darts.
Step 3. Shorten the new dart by the same amount as on the original template
Step 4. Trace the resulting template through transparent tracing paper, partially cut out the depth of the dart for easier stitching.
Step 5. Transfer the cut to the template on the sheet and onto the fabric. You can make an additional template to draw the correct contour on the fabric
Step 6. Cut out the pattern from the fabric and sew the dart. #dartmanipulation #patternmaking #sewingtutorial
