An issue of medical negligence has been recently reported in Dausa district of Rajasthan. On March 28, a pregnant woman died during childbirth in a private hospital. After the death, there was a lot of uproar and a case was registered against Dr. Archana Sharma under Section 302 of the IPC. The next day i.e. on March 29, Dr. Archana Sharma committed suicide. Protests are being held on behalf of doctors in Rajasthan and other areas of the country. Along with this, a fresh debate has also started about medical negligence.
