How can a parent hurt their athlete in the recruiting process?

When we go to these events, Camps, and games and we see parents acting crazy
Yelling at Refs
Yelling at the Parents
Yelling at the Coaches
Yelling at your Son or daughter Teammates and other team players.
College Coaches will not be recruiting your Athlete.

College sports are very competitive and College Coaches have a lot of options.

Parents are wasting a lot of time by sending emails regarding their son or daughter.

College coaches want to see the Athletes be proactive and to see how they communicate.


Some Parents are not real or they do not know what level their son Or daughter can play at in College.

They waste a lot of time and Money. Understanding the level is very important for athletes to play at the collegiate Level.

Parents When I see college coaches show interest in an Athlete I see parents reaching out to the coach more by sending a lot through text messages and calls to the college coach more than the athlete.

What do you feel a Parent's role is in the Recruitment Process?

I see a lot of helicopter parents always on top of their son or daughter at events , before and after games.

Understand college coaches will always be studying the athlete if they are recruiting them.

Positive Parents role in the recruitment

They are making sure that their Son or Daughter's Mindset Confidence and self Belief is there.

This recruitment process and Athletic Journey is hard and a lot of setbacks

Parents Helping athlete make their final decision by giving them facts and Information.
