If your Land Rover LR4 sometimes clicks, doesn’t crank, then starts normally on the next attempt, this video walks through what that behavior actually looks like and why it does not behave like a typical starter failure.
This is an observational, diagnostic video focused on start sequence behavior, not a guaranteed fix.
In this vehicle, this behavior has occurred intermittently over many years, including when it was newer, without a clear pattern or progression.
In my case, the issue tended to show up after the vehicle sat for a couple of days. I have not experienced it since repairing my transmission control module, but that is correlation, not a confirmed cause. I explain that distinction directly in the video.
The goal here is clarity so you do not chase the wrong parts.

Notes:
This video does not claim a single root cause.
Intermittent electrical or logic state issues are still possible.
Battery condition can influence frequency without being the fault.
If you have experienced this behavior on your LR4, please leave a comment describing what happens.
