What are the best ways to increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities? How can inclusive policies benefit companies? With support from three federal grants, the Program for Disability Research at Rutgers’ School of Management and Labor Relations is partnering with major companies to examine the effects of employer and public policies on workers with disabilities, as well as the impact on companies and society at large. Join professors Lisa Schur and Douglas Kruse as they discuss these and other projects on disability inclusion while outlining opportunities for companies to become involved.
Lisa Schur is a professor and past chair of the Department of Labor Studies and Employment Relations at Rutgers, where she teaches employment law and labor studies. She received a doctorate in political science from the University of California-Berkeley and a law degree from Northeastern University.
Douglas Kruse is a Distinguished Professor in the School of Management and Labor Relations at Rutgers. He served as a senior economist at the White House Council of Economic Advisers in 2013–2014. He received a master’s degree in economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a doctorate in economics from Harvard University.
