Certified Naturalist Course, CNAT Batch 1 - May 2024

Описание: A Certified Naturalist Course is for those eager to gain practical, foundational hands-on approaches to natural history, nature interpretation, storytelling, nature journaling, sustainability, flora/fauna ID, and many more.

A naturalist connects people with nature, using interpretation to build understanding and appreciation of the natural world and its species. He/She is an influencer in our society. This is vital for protection and conservation efforts.

Over 750 hours and approx 3 months, curious participants from different parts of the country joined to learn from experts through a hybrid of classroom training, group exercises, and outdoor activities. With both hard skills and soft skills, by the end of the course, the participants were all set for a professional career in the wildlife and ecotourism industry. They were also equipped to start their own ventures.

This was our first course conducted during this year in 2024 and recognised by Skill India, an initiative of The Government of India's Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). It promotes vocational training by supporting Sectoral Skill Councils (SSC) under the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and NCVET.

Our participants from the course put together a small film to celebrate this course and show everyone the highlights from our CNAT1 :)
