I'm building car frame that allows to full rotate of the car shell/body hanged on it - so it allows for easy access to underneeth parts of car for fix and repairs (car body repair).
My frame have ability to riseing and lowering main platform that is main center of rotation - allowing to hang cars with different body width and on different heights for maximum comfort.
Rising and lowering is made by using two long jack lifters - one on each end of the frame. Lifting two ends simultaneously of course is doable - but why running round the frame and lifting a little bit at each end at time if we can utilize arduino to controll pneumatic actuators to simulate hand pump action.
So. At this stage i utilized hand bicycle pump, two electric valves/actuators, two pneumatic actuators 25x25 mm (piston diameter x piston stroke - selected for maximum hydraulic lifter pump piston stroke), Arduino nano, 10k potentiometer hooked to A0, MC34152 MOSFET driver hooked to D13 and IRFZ48 MOSFET Transistor.
Potentiometer is used to change directions of air passed by electric valve actuator. In fact my valve allow to air flow one way (port 1 on valve) when coil is energized (valve is in "closed position") or the other (port 2 on valve) when not.
By utilizing simple blink example and plying with delay function (by reading potentiometer value) we can change the rate of pneumatic piston movement and then - hydraulic lifter pump speed and at the end - speed of lifting the main platform.
