Описание: It's really sad to say goodbye to these characters, but like they say, all good things must come to an end. I will admit that the ending did feel a bit underwhelming (you could've AT LEAST showed him entering the underworld like a badass) so instead, I'm going to pretend the teasers were actually the epilogue. That way, problem solved. ^_^

Overall, a fantastic drama and yet another reason to obsess over Lee Seung-gi!! ^_^

Summary:
Hwayugi is a 20 episode drama from South Korean starring my favorite actor, Lee Seunggi (aka, The Monkey King). It's currently in the middle of airing and is written by my favorite drama-writing pair, the Hong Sisters. It's a reinterpretation of the Chinese novel “Journey to the West” but set in the present time with a romantic-fantasy twist.

Here is a (paraphrased) synopsis of the plot I ripped off Dramawiki:

Ever since birth, Jin Sun Mi has had the ability to see spirits. When she was a young girl, she met two supernatural creatures - Woo Hwi Chul (The Bull Demon) and Son Oh Gong (The Monkey King/The Great Sage). After Son Oh Gong tricks her into freeing him from his prison, she becomes cursed with the fate of Sam Jang, a human whose blood is irresistible to demons and has the ability to grant them extreme powers if eaten.

25 Years later, a twist of fate brings the three back together again.

Jin Sun Mi has grown up to be a successful real estate agent, and with her trusty umbrella, has been warding off blood-thirsty demons all on her own. Meanwhile, Woo Hwi Chul has become a popular CEO of a talent agency and is continuing his quest to become a deity while Son Oh Gong is desperate to unseal his powers and return to Heaven.

After another failed attempt at being promoted, Son Oh Gong hears of Sam Jang's appearance in the world and vows to devour her and to become all-powerful that way instead, unaware that Sam Jang is the same girl who freed him all those years ago.

Because Heaven is invested in Sam Jang's fate, they command Woo Hwi Chul to protect her, so he gives her a magical bracelet that forces Son Oh Gong to bend to her will...
