In 2022, I released an episode tracing the origins and lineage of some members of Hong Kong's old-money family, the Hotung-Ho Hung San-Bruce Lee family. They are a Eurasian mixed-race family spanning Hong Kong, Macau, and overseas, with ancestry including Chinese, European Jewish, British, and Irish roots. The Chinese part of their heritage comes from their grandmother, Sze Tai, who is commonly said to be a Tanka person from Bao'an, Guangdong (which also included Hong Kong before its cession). However, I also mentioned the circulating claim that she was from Chongming Island.

This installment provides additional details about the Chongming Island theory... It turns out that this claim is not entirely an internet rumor, as it has been mentioned in biographies and interviews of several of her descendants...
