Bikepacking from Hereford to Ruthin (via Horseshoe Pass)

Описание: Cycling from Hereford to Ruthin in North Wales. I went through Ludlow, Church Stretton, around Shrewsbury and Oswestry, then through Langollen, and finally into Ruthin via the Horseshoe Pass.

This video features no music and no commentary, intended for work and relaxation.

This ride was part of my first bikepacking experience, which was a 500-mile multi-day trip I did in June/July over eight days.

The route was 101 miles with 6150ft in elevation. My moving time was 7h43m, with an average speed of 12.7mph, but this is not including some of the hills which I had to walk. Total elapsed time was 11h52min, which includes stopping off for food and snacks.

This was my first Century. With the exception of two massive 20% climbs in Wales, I found it mostly ok, however I think if I didn't have all of the extra gear with me I would've been able to do it much quicker. Afterwards I took a day off to recover, and then proceeded with the rest of my trip, with the hardest leg completed.

I used a GoPro HERO 8 for recording this footage, and used a Wahoo ELEMNT BOLT for navigation. I was carrying almost 20kg of gear on my road bike.

My channel is all about documenting the scenic parts of my rides, and uploading them almost unedited. I do not commentate or put music on these videos, because that gives you the flexibility to put on your own music, etc.
