Cy-Clone Demo has the universal compatibility with all systems (unlike many other old games) from Windows 95 to 11, regardless of the CPU, RAM, and even GPU (just install DirectX 6.0 and that's all).
That's all because Cy-Clone Demo is made and compiled with Multimedia Fusion 2 and it does not use any of the effects that would require Windows 98 and a DirectX 9.0-compatible GPU. Although, many mechanics in the game are tied to the CPU clock speed and the Delta Time is very inconsistent, which explains why the game has the 60 FPS maximum locked by default.
Cy-Clone Demo can run on: Windows 95, 98, ME, NT 4.0 SP6, 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10, 11 (32-bit or 64-bit).
However, the full version requires Windows 98 and a DirectX 9.0-compatible GPU due to the hardware-rendered 3D grid (3dmesh.mfx) in Act 6.
Recorded with a phone on a box because I don't have a video capture card compatible with that old Windows 9x machine.
If Thomas Jenns (creator of Cy-Clone) ever sees this video, he would be surprised.
I believe that Cy-Clone is meant to be a playable tech demo that demonstrates the capabilities of Multimedia Fusion 2 (a predecessor of Clickteam Fusion 2.5). Also, it's likely an art direction compatibility test to demonstrate the importance of unique art direction over demanding graphics.
