Soft barnyard millet, simple egg bhurji, sautéed veggies + a cashew chilli sauce that tasted EXACTLY like tandoori mayo — light, filling and sooo satisfying.
~420 calories, big on flavour 🤍
1️⃣ Barnyard Millet Rice
Ingredients
Barnyard millet – 65 g
Water – 115 g (ml)
Salt – ¼ tsp (or to taste) ✅ important
Method
Rinse millet 3–4 times until water runs clear
Soak for 15–20 minutes, drain
Add millet + water + salt to cooker
Cook on medium flame – 2 whistles only
Natural pressure release
Open, fluff gently, rest 5 minutes uncovered
2️⃣ Cashew Chilli “Tandoori Mayo” Style Sauce
Ingredients
Cashews – 10 g, soaked
Red chilli – 1 small (hole/slit made)
Water – ~70 ml (soaking + grinding)
Garlic – 1 small clove
Vinegar – 2–3 drops
Salt – to taste
Pepper – to taste
Method
Grind everything till smooth & creamy
Adjust salt & pepper at the end
👉 Texture = mayo-like, taste = tandoori/makhani vibe
🍳 Egg Bhurji (1 egg)
Egg: 70 kcal
Oil (½ tsp): 20 kcal
Onion & spices: ~10 kcal
➡️ ~100 kcal total
🥕 Sautéed Onions + Carrots
Veg: ~40 kcal
Oil (½ tsp): ~20 kcal
➡️ ~60 kcal total
🌶️ Cashew Chilli Sauce Calories
10 g cashews = ~55 kcal
Use less than 1 tbsp = ~25–30 kcal
