Croc: Legend of the Gobbos (PC, 2025 Remaster) - [EXTRA] Alternative Paths [v1.00]

Описание: Now that the walkthrough is complete, it's time to cover the extras.

This first extra video is about alternative paths a player can take in the game at specific levels. I forgot to show that it's also possible to use a trick for 4-1, but that can be checked in the 1997 CD-ROM release equivalent video.

This extra shows you other passages that you can take in specific levels of the game.

0:00 - The first well that you encounter is a shortcut. However, if you take it, you can't get all Coloured Crystal and Gobbos in the level.

0:22 - If players turn to the right instead of the front, it serves as a shortcut that cuts down time massively to get the silver key faster and more easily.

1:00 - You can catch the 5th Gobbo without having to press the button side to the Bonus level door. In the remaster it can be a little more difficult to perform this than in the 1997 version due to the altered topology of the monkey bar object.

1:17 - Players can also get the silver key much faster and quickly if they take the crumbling platform path instead of the one of the jelly.

2:22 - While it's not the way that the developers intended for players to reach the silver key, it's possible to save time by jumping with precision to hold on the moving platform while standing in the crumbling one before it breaks down.

2:52 - This shows up the content of the other two doors, however if you take them you can't collect all Coloured Crystals and Gobbos of this level (which is a requirement as well for the "Why That's Defrightful" achievement). The middle door only contains Beany's Gong, and the right door also contains it plus three Mechanical Robots (unique in the game as they only appear in this level's room).

4:15 - This shows up the content of the right door, which is the easiest path: a level room containing Ballistic Megs.

A few notes:

This video was recorded and played in 1.0 version.
This video was recorded with the game's Remastered settings.
The keyboard layout can currently only be mapped by modifying a config.ini file in the AppData folder (Special thanks to Paul and Ray for the trick). I did it in order to be able to play with the same custom layout as I did with the walkthrough of the 1997 game that's also available in my channel. I hope a native method to change the keyboard controls gets considered in future updates.
