The highly awaited Stree 3: Pehla Mahayudh is set to release in JAN 2026, bringing back the much-loved blend of horror and comedy while expanding Maddock Films’ ambitious horror-comedy universe. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film stars Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi, with two big new entries Akshay Kumar and Varun Dhawan.
The film picks up after the mysterious ending of Stree 2, where the legend of the ghost intensifies. This time, the villagers face their biggest challenge yet a supernatural “Mahayudh” where Stree is no longer alone, and darker forces rise against humanity.
Akshay Kumar’s role is being kept under wraps, but sources suggest he plays a warrior-like character who holds ancient knowledge about defeating these spirits. Varun Dhawan continues his Bhediya connection, officially tying the universes together. Shraddha Kapoor’s mysterious character grows even more central to the storyline, keeping fans guessing about her real identity.
Backed by Maddock Films & Jio Studios, Stree 3 is not just a sequel, but the biggest chapter in India’s horror-comedy universe, setting the stage for future crossovers.
