The Fronalpstock is a mountain in the Schwyz Alps in the canton of Schwyz, located in the municipality of Morschach, with an elevation of 1,921 meters above sea level. The western slope of the Fronalpstock ends at Lake Lucerne (Urnersee). Part of the “Swiss Path” runs along this slope, and the Axen Road runs close to the shore. The Arth-Goldau–Erstfeld railway line also winds its way through many tunnels through the rock of the Fronalpstock.
There is also a mountain of the same name in the Glarus Alps in the neighboring canton of Glarus.
The Fronalpstock is the end point of the Stoos ridge trail from Chlingenstock along the Fronalpstock chain. In addition to the hiking trail from Stoos, the Fronalpstock can also be reached via an alpine hiking trail (T4 on the SAC hiking scale) from the Schwyzerhöhe area.
