about faculty : Dr. Santosh Kumar Chaudhary is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics at the Central University. He is a highly accomplished academic who earned his Ph.D. in Mathematical Statistics from IIT Kharagpur in 2025. His educational background is distinguished by multiple degrees from premier Indian institutes, including an M.Sc. in Statistics from IIT Bombay (2021) and an M.Sc. in Mathematics from IIT Delhi (2018). Dr. Chaudhary’s research focuses primarily on information-theoretic measures—such as entropy and extropy—reliability theory, and hypothesis testing. Recognized for his academic excellence, he achieved notable national rankings, including AIR 3 in GATE, AIR 17 in JAM, and AIR 50 in CSIR-JRF. Prior to his current role, he gained professional experience as an Assistant Professor at BIT Mesra and SOA University, and as an Assistant Data Analyst for the Indian Railways
