In 1894 New Forest farmer, George Williams, bought a boat at auction and converted it into a sailing barge.
In 2019, Williams Shipping has a fleet of more than 26 marine vessels and barges, 18 trucks, and employs over 100 people across the country. Still family run and headquartered in Hampshire, it has grown with and supported the expansion of Southampton as one of the UK’s premier ports. The blue and orange flag has become a familiar sight across the region and the UK.
As we continue to invest and expand into the future, we are determined to retain the qualities that define us – reliability, expertise and dedication to customer service.
