Is Brilliant Earth turning a corner? The company's 2Q results sent us some mixed signals:
Sales up 3% to $108.9M, the first increase in over a year.
Net loss of $1.1M as costs rose faster than revenue.
Orders up 18%, while the average transaction value fell 13% — the 15th straight quarterly decline.
Over the past six years, Brilliant Earth has tripled its order volumes but cut average ticket prices by $1,000, leaving sales stagnant since 2022. The jeweler is forecasting 2.5% to 4% sales growth in 2025, but it seems the value gap remains.
