Описание: In an era where branding is said to be the personality of a business, enterprises are relying on expert advice to make their products and services more appealing to prospective customers.

As a complex combination of voice, tone, color palettes, font choices, and story, good branding creates a lasting impression and differentiates a business from its competitors.

Research suggests that when done right, effective branding fosters deep loyalty between businesses and consumers. But brand design is no static element. It shifts and responds to the world around it. Hence, the need to know what to do and what not to do at a specific stage of a business.

Whereas many believe it's not so much of a big deal, others who think otherwise are either unable to find the appropriate brand experts for their business or are unable to pay for their services.

After getting involved with "Moonlight Cafe" as a student of the University of Ghana (A platform for underground artists on some university campuses in Ghana), a forum that eventually saw the likes of Efya and Kidi rise from the underground to stardom, Sydney Scott Sam decided to dedicate his life to building brands transcending the borders of Ghana.

Speaking on the business edition of 21 Minutes With KKB, the CEO of  regrettably noted that the initiative ( Moonlight Cafe) collapsed because there was no attention to branding and strategy.

"Moonlight Cafe for me wasn't about entertainment. The entertainment was the by-product. It was the idea of my roommate and I was the business brain who brought it to life. So my thing has always been creating sustainable systems and putting people together and managing them to be able to come up with a product."

"And that's what led to the gabs that I realised that when you are running a business and you are not thinking about branding, you are not thinking about strategy, you won't be able to make it"

Sydney Scott Sam is of the view that although entrepreneurship is the big thing to move Africa to where it needs to get, branding is the vehicle to drive the agenda.

"Entrepreneurship is something that can drive Africa to where it needs to go but also branding is a heavy catalyst to take entrepreneurs. Because I think Moonlight Cafe shut down because we were not caring about our brand," he said.

Sydney Scott Sam is a renowned leader in Africa’s brand marketing space.

Young Scott Sam is leading a mission to help one million African entrepreneurs build a strong brand.

Through the online platform, Workspace Global, Sydney and his team have built the go-to brand-services marketplace that connects hundreds of African businesses to remote creative talent across the continent.

The platform he tells Kyenkyenhene Boateng is aimed at creating millions of remote work opportunities to curb Africa’s growing unemployment gap.

In 2019, Sydney Scott Sam was one of four Ghanaians named in  Forbes Africa 30 under 30 list.
