US-Iran tensions escalate as attacks hit Bahrain and Kuwait, raising wider war fears

The US has continued targeting Iranian civilian and commercial infrastructure, particularly ports regarded as Iran's economic lifelines, in an effort to degrade IRGC capacity and cripple the Iranian economy. The IRGC has warned that the Strait of Hormuz remains closed as long as US aggression continues, with Iran insisting it will assert control over the strategic waterway. In the Gulf, Qatar has submitted a formal complaint to the UN, condemning Iranian attacks on Qatari targets and affirming its right to self-defense.
