I took a short break from uploading but I am back in 2026!
While working in San Bernardino, California in the summer of 2023, I had the pleasure of filming at a camp called Forest Home and doing a ride-along with one of the groundskeepers. The way Forest Home disposes of the trash for the campsite is truly one of a kind.
A modified Chevy pickup truck collects dumpsters from around the camp, flips them upside-down into a trash compactor, and returns the bins to their original locations. Once the compactor gets full, they hire a truck driver with a CDL to drive the Freightliner Roll-Off truck the camp owns and empty it at the dump. This system repeats year round.
