Game changer for me:
What I’ve never liked about covered litter boxes is that they’re pretty hard to hide in smaller places. That is true for this litter box also. Having said that, I’m no longer vacuuming up litter off the floor around the litter box 4 times a day. Regardless of how much I pay for the litter the cats still make a mess with it. With the top and the little door, there is almost no litter at all on the floor. I’ve had no need to vacuum up litter at all. I was concerned that the door might confuse or scare them. In fact I think the door may actually be their favorite feature! The sit on top and swing the door in and out. The male especially enjoys doing this when the female is trying to potty. Quite funny actually. The top is easily removed for cleaning which I still have to do a minimum of twice a day. I do feel like the clips on the sides which secure the top to the bottom are pretty flimsy in my opinion. So I am careful not to break them. So far so good. With the filter and the door and the top, I had hoped that poop time might be a little less fragrant in the room. Nope! It helps only the slightest bit. I will say with the use of quality litter and litter box having a top with a door… The smell is handle very quickly. I bought the small box because my cats are all small. If you have a 15 pound cat like a friend of mine has… you absolutely need a bigger box. I still have one uncovered litter box in my house. I wanted to be sure about my love for the covered litter box before replacing them both. Well today I will making my second puchase of this litter box. This litter box has been a real game changer for me!
