If you have an R8 with a dim display, there are 3 things that could be the reason. The first is a Function invert where the display is bright when powered off and dim when turned on. The second is a dirty display connector. The third is component failure.
The likely issue is the first two problems and so this video will attempt to help you resolve your problem without the need for a service technician as may be required for the third reason.
Please excuse my amateur video as I am new to taking and uploading videos, but wanted to help and thought I would post this online for everyone to see.
