Mikulski (D-Md.), Chairwoman of the Senate Appropriations Committee and Co-Chair of the Senate Caucus on Poland, was awarded the Commander's Cross with the Star of Polonia Restituta by Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski. Senator Mikulski received the honor for her outstanding work in strengthening U.S.-Polish relations, creating a more welcoming environment for Poles living in the United States, and advancing issues important to Poland.
