E-collar 101: Fit & Finding the Working Level (Difficult Dog)

After you set-up your e-collar, the next thing you're going to want to do is find your dog's "working level". This is the lowest level that the dog responds to on the e-collar. In this video, I'm going to show you how to find the working level on a long-haired dog (which comes with some fitting challenges). Penny is a dog who also doesn't have a very strong reaction to the e-collar when she feels it, which can make it difficult for some owners to get the working level correctly.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that you switch the side that the collar is on every 2 hours or so. This will prevent your dog from developing pressure sores. This is also why it's important to have the collar on snugly, it prevents chafing (too loose), and pressure sores (too tight).
