We resurrect an underappreciated muscle car legend, and enhance the resulting render with a little pizzazz thanks to a new fastback shape.
The AMC Rebel Machine was a classic muscle car from the 70s, known for a distinctive red, white, and blue design. A modern version of the AMC Rebel Machine could be successful if it takes design cues from the Dodge Challenger and gets equipped with a powerful Hellcat engine. The original Rebel Machine had around 340 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque, and around 2,000 examples got produced, with current auction values ranging from $52,000 to $83,000.
When we’re talking about muscle cars from the 70s, you can’t make a list of the greats without mentioning the AMC Rebel Machine. This short-lived legend arrived for 1970, a year after the AMC SC/Rambler, another classic nameplate from the same brand.
