MISSION STATEMENT!
The crafting system in Far Cry Primal is relatively simple: as you go around the different regions in the game, you'll be able to collect materials, such as rocks, reeds, and wood. As you collect more of these materials, eventually the game will grant you the ability to craft items, such as Bows, Clubs, or Spears. However, you can also increase your character's capability to hold more food-related items or ammo for your weapons, so crafting is not only just for making new weapons. There are two main types of things that you can craft: weapons or upgrades to your already existing character, such as ammunition for weapons or carry load for certain items.
