Engine oil should be replaced after the first 50 hours of usage and then every 250 hours thereafter. The engine oil filter should be replaced after the first 50 hours of usage and then every 500 hours thereafter. This how-to-video will be discuss how replace an oil filter and change the oil.
On the curb side of the unit under the access door, resides the engine oil drain. A threaded cap keeps the engine oil from escaping. Underneath this threaded cap, place an oil receptacle large enough to capture all of the lubricating oil in the engine.
When the receptacle is in place, remove the threaded cap. Open the engine oil line petcock valve which will allow the oil to begin draining. When the oil has completely drained, close the petcock valve. Then wipe the threaded cap clean and reinsert it into the drain.
Remove oil filter using an oil filter wrench. Take the new oil filter out of its packaging and lubricate the O-ring. Install the new oil filter until hand tight. Lastly, add new oil to the engine.
