Soon after the Liberation of Ba Sing Se and the end of the Hundred Year War, Bosco was able to return to a life of luxury with the Earth King, because he was able to regain his position as the king.

During the severe tensions between the Earth Kingdom and the Fire Nation as a result of the remaining fire nation colonies left in the Earth Kingdom, including Yu Dao, the King was forced to enter negotiations with Zuko. Bosco was present for all of these negotiations and enjoyed the extravagant dinners that came along with them. Regardless, the outcome of these negotiations was the eventual formation of Republic City. Because the Earth Kingdom and Fire Nation both had claims to the territory in Yu Dao, it was decided that the area should be turned into an independent nation, the United Republic.

Around two years after this, Bosco Joined King Kuei when he travelled to the newly booming Southern Water Tribe. They were invited by head chieftain Hakoda and it was the first time either of them had ever seen snow and the cold environment of the South Pole. When there, Bosco was able to provide warmth for the king by literally bear hugging him. What more can you ask for from a friend!

Soon after, King Kuei was actually kidnapped by a high ranking member of the Southern Water tribe who opposed the Northerners coming down to restore the South because he believed it was a stealth takeover by them. In the end he was proven right, but his extreme methods led to him falling out with Hakoda, the chieftain. After Kuei was rescued however, Bosco and Team Avatar shared a nice meal.
