Paul Basagoitia is a professional mountain biker known for his skills in freeride mountain biking. In October 2015, during the Red Bull Rampage competition, Paul crashed and shattered his T12 vertebrae, injuring his spinal cord, and leaving him without feeling in his legs. Paul was airlifted to the hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery to stabilize his spine.
