As an airsoft reviewer, I get a lot of questions from new airsoft players. A very common question is what airsoft gun a first-time airsofter should buy first. For me to recommend an airsoft replica as a good beginner gun, it has to pass the Triple-A Test. A beginner airsoft gun should be Affordable, Accessible, and Available.

I always recommend the G&G Combat Machine line of M4 airsoft AEGs. The G&G CM16 (the most basic model available) has a low price, great performance out of the box, and is easy to operate for first-time players. The G&G Combat Machine series comes in a ton of different variations, so if the basic CM16 Light Carbine featured in this video doesn’t fit your style, there are a ton of other options with the same reliable internal quality that G&G is known for.
