Do you think high budget movies look kinda bland and lifeless these days? Did you watch a video on the topic and them see several other videos completely rip off the original, including using "The Parent Trap" as a reference? As though that's a common reference for good cinematography?

I give my take like 6 minutes into the video, but short answer, I think it's about keeping things as safe as possible, making sure the video is easy to see in a larger variety of settings and idunno? Newer cinematographers associate Log footage with looking profressional as it's essentially the opposite of the look you would get out of cheap dslrs and phones?
