As a young widow in rural Kenya, Roseline Orwa was pressured to be "cleansed" of her partner's death as part of a ritual which involves having sexual relations with a male relative or stranger. Realizing her dignity was at risk, she set about helping other widows speak out against the practice.
In this film, we see how Roseline, an Atlantic Fellow for Social and Economic Equity at the International Inequalities Institute at the London School of Economics, works right across her community to build up support for the eradication of this "cleansing".
