Sgt. Maj. Jason E. Podzemny, a senior enlisted advisor and resource manager for Army Futures Command. SGM Podzemny will discuss #AFC resource management, its unique mission, and leadership development.
“To me the most rewarding part about working with my team is seeing the growth in my NCOs and seeing the office grow from a new fledgling ACOM, into a functional headquarters,” said Podzemny. “I love to be challenged and to take care of people. I think true leadership is developed from a drive to see your people succeed."
Asked what advice he’d give to someone considering a similar career path, he added:
“Make sure you are well rounded. Sticking to one path won’t give you the diversity needed to lead at the senior levels. Secondly, be passionate about what you are doing. If you are not, you aren’t in the right field. Learn to lift up your team - a successful team leads to a successful leader.”
