The AI Impact Summit 2026 was supposed to be a showcase event for the Indian AI / technology sector - it turned into a nightmare on the very first day. Mismanagement, lack of planning & PM Modi's visit turned the AI event into a Political PR event. Social Media was rife with attendees calling out the long queues, lack of even water & illogical security protocol. On top of that many of the showcase AI events were just window-dressing.
But even if the rest of the Summit is a super-hit - India still would have a massive challenge on its hands to catchup on the AI front - do we even have a plan or running blind???
