A few weeks ago multi-agency patrol was coordinated by Paul Thomas from Angling Trust's Fisheries Enforcement Support Service in Boston.
The main goal was to tackle illegal fishing in this area, where many reports were received from voluntary bailiffs (VBS). The team of Voluntary Bailiff Service, Environment Agency, Building Bridges Project and the Police was involved in high visibility operation during that day. The most important is that many more patrols going to be organised in the near future, so the numbers of incidents connected with illegal fishing will be lower.
