Celeste 100% in just 772 dashes (Unrestricted)

This is a TAS. What is a TAS? In summary, it is a pre-programmed set of inputs that play the game "perfectly" - given that the inputs have to be made by humans, they are not absolutely perfect. Half a second was saved yesterday, for example. But it'll do the same thing every time, as this game has practically no rng in it.

Unlike the other two videos in this series (   • Celeste 100% in just 1287 dashes (Restricted)   and    • Celeste 100% in just 822 dashes (SemiRestr...  ) this one pulls out all the stops. Without assist mode or downpatching or cheat mode, there is no way to dash fewer times than this.

What is stunning? Because of an oversight in how the game handles loading spinners/lightning, if we pause every three frames the game fails to load 1/3 of spinners/lightning. Watching that, however, is rather painful (as it is 2 frames of gameplay and then 11 frames of pausing) and as such all those pause frames have been cut out of this video in lieu of having text on the top right saying "Stunning".

Why do we wait for 5 days oh so many times? Because the game handles loading spinners/lightning using a single precision floating point number. Due to the nature of floating point numbers, only a specific set of numbers can be handled, and the larger the number the larger the gap to the next. At 524288, or 2^19, the gap to the next number is 0.0625. A single frame is 0.01666699201. As such, adding one frame rounds down and leaves the number at 524288. This breaks the spinner/lightning loading even further and allows for unloading not 1/3, like stunning does, but an entire 2/3 of this dastardly obstacle.
