John Noakes and Peter Purves host a special live edition of Blue Peter, focusing on Lesley Judd's trip on the inaugural transatlantic flight of Concorde from London to Washington.

Having made the transatlantic crossing at supersonic speed, Lesley will have to return to England on an 'ordinary' plane.

NB - There are several instances where the live satellite pictures from Dulles Airport feature thick black bars at the top of the frame. This is likely a result of the process of converting American NTSC pictures for display in the European PAL format. Do not adjust your set!
