A 12 mile walk in the Coniston Fells from Tilberthwaite.
The route first heads up Tilberthwaite Gill and then turns north to the base of Wetherlam Edge. Turning south west the route then heads up Wetherlam Edge to the summit of Wetherlam. The route then continues towards the Prison Band and then Swirl How. From here the route turns south to the Old Man of Coniston passing Brim Fell along the way. The route then retraces the route before bearing west to Grey Friars and the Matterhorn Rock. From here the route heads east past the Halifax memorial and then onto Great Carrs. The return route is made along Wet Side Edge and over Great Intake back to the start
