All Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon Fully Explained!
Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon are some of the most powerful non-legendary creatures in the series. Defined by their base stat total of 600, three-stage evolutions, and late-game strength, these (mostly) dragons are often the Aces of champion teams. What began with just Dragonite in Generation 1 has grown to 10 pseudo-legendaries by Generation 9 - often being used by powerful trainers along the way or inspiring paradox pokemon and mega forms.
These include Dragonite, who was used by Lance and will get a Mega form in Legends ZA. Tyranitar. Salamence who was used by Drake and Zinnia, got a mega form, and inspired Roaring Moon. Metagross and their mega form used by Steven Stone in generation 3. Garchomp, iconically used by Cynthia in diamond pearl and platinum. Hydreigon, the first pokemon to be used by an evil team leader - Ghetsis. Goodra, who was actually part of Ash's team. Kommo-o in alola, Dragapult, and Baxcalibur.
