CNC Build | The Frame

Описание: Welcome to Krafted by Koen! Join me in this video as I take you through the process of building the frame for my homemade CNC router. Follow along as I share my journey, tips, and insights into constructing a sturdy and reliable frame for this exciting DIY project.

I start by building the frame out of steel, keeping three main thoughts in mind: being able to pick it up with my pallet jack, maximizing the usable space underneath, and ensuring it can fit through the door. Additionally, I designed it with the option for a vertical mounting surface.

Because of my design criteria, the frame consists of two parts: the table with four outer legs and diagonal braces, and the two inner legs with stretchers. This setup allows me to use planks on the stretchers for storage shelves while also providing the flexibility to pick up the machine by these stretchers. If I ever need to move it out of the shop, I can simply remove the inner frame.

I ordered all the steel pre-cut, so the primary tasks were prepping, welding, cleaning, and painting.
