Luxembourg was once among the world’s largest steel producers.
The last blast furnaces in Belval were closed down in 1997.
Since then, the brownfield site has been turned into a bustling neighbourhood with office buildings, shops, restaurants and housing that will soon accommodate 7,000 inhabitants.
Named the City of Sciences, Belval also hosts the University of Luxembourg and the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology.
Do you want to see more of this eco-district linking Luxembourg’s industrial past with the city of tomorrow?
Join us for a study visit to Belval during the 2020 Cleantech Forum Europe in Luxembourg on 18-20 May 2020.
