NYC Bus & MTA Bus Company | 1998-99 Novabus T80206 RTS Review

Описание: These are the 1998-99 Novabus T80206 RTS, known to be the most phebomal and last RTS series in history to he purchase for NYCT. Then years later, the 4th participating bus for MTA Bus Company after the takeover of PBL. This review is officially remastered since Memorial Day of 2019 .

Since my immigration in 2007, these and the older generation RTS' were my first favorite MTA buses I like to see. And they reminded of the Toyota Hiace vans from Haiti, which was one of them I always ride to Pre-School and vacation times. I was riding these and all other series on the B17, B6, B82, B46, B47, B49, B7, and more. And since 2015, I ride one on the M42 as my first Manhattan bus ride I had on my Intrepid trip with my mother. And going into 2017, I was infused into MJQ operations and had training with a 5200 series. And the 5200 series are my favorite units in the 1999 series of this order. And MJQ was the only depot in Manhattan and citywide, to have the 5200s RTS'. Since 2018, the RTS retirement had started but gradually. 2019 was more brutal, when the Brooklyn residents had to protest for the retiremnent of these RTS'. They had a long history and they frequently ride older buses like this model. May 1st, 2019; was the end of all RTS era and we severely miss these compared to any other older buses. Not only these were retired that year, the D60HFs, Orion VII OG CNGs and Gen-1 HEVs from Daimler Chrysler were retired. That wraos the old school legend of almost all old school buses on standard service. And I am so glad I get to see #5249 displayed the last order of these recent RTS' at the bus festival on June 9th, 2019. I will never forget my immigration year with all of these RTS', my rides out of MJQ, East New York, Flatbush, Grand Ave, Ulmer Park, and Fresh Pond Depots. Plus, my famous operations with these in Manhattan until April 2019. I also cannot forget how I hated these for 5 years until I was 15 years old, and more.

Bonus Notes: There are some RTS' preserved as of the retirement. #4901 is preserved at Trolley Museum NY. #5227 is preserved by NJ Transit Heritage Center. And after 2021 starts, it will be the 40th anniversary of the RTS era since 1981.
