Return of the Dark Sorcerer is a hack for Final Fantasy 6 by Gi Nattak. New characters, new portraits, rebalanced spells/moves, a new overworld map, new events, and a boosted difficulty level are just some of the features of this hack.
The latest version can always be found in one of the following two locations:

As usual, you'll need to find a proper ROM on your own to patch with.
Version being played: 1.4.2
Time to try stopping Zuriel from starting an event that will cause an earth shattering kaboom. Of course, him disabling everyone not named FuSoYa isn't going to help matters. Nor is him using the statue's powers to disable the old man. Hell, even Gestahl's had enough of this, but his words fall on deaf ears as Golbez comes in, shanks Zuriel & Gestahl, then brings his ally back up.
Zuriel? He's not standing for this crap and starts a fight.
You've seen what Zuriel could do when he was known as Kefka. At this point, all bets are off as Zuriel uses a much wider variety of attacks, all of which can potentially be nasty in one way or another. His opener is to cast Haste on himself and Slowga on your team, a nasty combo. A Hastega is required if anyone gets slowed.
As for damaging moves, Zuriel can use tier 3 spells, Toxic Bomb, Aero (a wind elemental lore that FuSoYa can learn), and so on. The worst move though? Shijima's Soul Extraction move which inflicts zombify.
Also, Zuriel has good magic evasion. Your spells are going to miss at least 1/3rd of the time.
For this fight, FuSoYa & Golbez have access to the Meteor spell. Hits all enemies and is non elemental, but is extremely taxing on the mp reserves. Don't need it for this fight so just stick to high end nukes like Radiance, tier 3 elemental spells, or Golbez's Flare spell.
After the fight (and me getting trolled the hell out there if I might add), Zuriel decides to sacrifice Gestahl to summon a foe, one very familiar to both FuSoYa & Golbez, Zemus.
The problem? Zuriel kinda forgot that Oboro ran off and, as a result he comes in to give the two people able to stand up a helping hand in trying to put down whatever ambitions Zuriel wants to dish out, thusly another fights start with him with Zemus joining in for the festivities.
Zuriel doesn't do much different than what he did in the first fight, but his evasion falters before Oboro's thrown supplies.
That just leaves Zemus who's another heavy user of magic attacks. His tend to gear towards hitting the entire team though and they're not weak by any means. Hell, even when he uses single target moves like Zemus' Fury, it still hurts something fierce.
Worse yet, Zemus takes no damage from anything. This is where Meteor comes in. Cast this and, once you see a message indicating his protection has been broken, go on the offensive.
Oh yes, Zemus has one more nasty trick up his sleeve. When he flashes colors, heal everyone up quickly and make damn sure you can get a shell buff up on anyone that needs it. Once Zemus takes his next turn, he'll use Crossfire, an extremely powerful fire elemental attack that hits the entire party. Thanks to Golbez's armor, he'll absorb the damage, but the others can easily take 1400-1500+ damage without shell.
After Zemus takes enough damage, he ends the fight with Heartless Angel. Welp, Zuriel gets to start the end of the world, great.
However, Oboro isn't having any more of this crap and somehow decides to slow down Zuriel while everyone else gets the hell out of dodge.
You now have a little more than 18 minutes to escape. You're probably wondering why it's so long, but you'll see in a moment.
Enemy wise, there's a few new faces, but I just run from everything to save time. If you run into She Devils though, you'll have to kill them if you want to run.
As you're running, take note of the chest you see. If you take a direct route to it, you'll not be able to reach it due to pieces of the land falling off. Take the long way around to it and grab a Stamina Tab.
Oh yes, and one boss to kill on the way out. Looks like Raditz wants one last shot to kill your party, but he falls like a truck thanks to Psionic Wave and weakness abuse.
The catch? Raditz can go super saiyan, greatly boosting his stats. If this happens, you'll have to go on the defensive and heal until he comes out of it, hence the reason the timer is so long here.
For beating Raditz once again, you get a nice weapon, the Tekken Claw. Tifa or Ronan can equip it for a +5 boost to magic which is simply amazing.
Not much more to go before you find the airship waiting for you (and Golbez deciding he wants to spill Zuriel's blood and leaves, oh dear).
Everyone hops on to the airship just in time because...well, said earth shattering kaboom happens.
We'll see what's happened to the world (or what's left of it) next time.
