What I gained when I lost my sight

Описание: Maria walked into her classroom early one morning in September and tripped over a backpack she didn't see... in front of the whole class. Usually this would be the end of a 'most embarrassing moments'​ kind of story​, but ​not for Maria. She went to the hospital with her mother, excited to get a nice new pair of glasses, but ended up being admitted for emergency brain surgery​ and losing eyesight entirely.​ ​I​n this moving Talk​,​ ​Maria she explains with humor and wisdom, how "falling into a hole" turned her "into a giant."
