Описание: "Surviving-the-Aftermath" is a typical post-apocalyptic management game that challenges you to rebuild civilisation in a devastated world. You must manage and grow a colony of survivors by balancing limited resources to build the required infrastructure, while dealing with various threats, challenges and catastrophes. Additionally, there is a turn-based element where you send out specialists to explore the wasteland for essential resources and technology.

The game has all the hallmarks of a good management game. It does well at giving you a goal to work towards and a sense of accomplishment as your settlement grows and you research new technology. It really tests your adaptability through events and choices, with short-sightedness or risk having lasting consequences. The user interface is decent, with clear presentation of all relevant data and notifications for pertinent information. There is a lot of straight forward customization of the experience on set up of a new game, allowing you to really tailor the overall experience and level of challenge. Additionally, the map is procedurally generated, so if you enjoy the game, there is plenty of variety and replay value.

The game however does have flaws. Some mechanics are poorly implemented, including the hope system, combat, and trading. The tutorials are in general poor, and in game documentation often lacks essential clarity.The turn-based wasteland exploration mechanic is also tedious and boring. Although engaging in general, the game lacks fun, and could really have benefitted from more diversity, particularly in terms of events and enemies.

In conclusion, "Surviving the Aftermath" is a competent but bland management game but with very little innovation or originality. It will keep you engaged for a long time without the pace slowing too much, but I also feel that the game "the-wandering-village" does all the exact same things, but with a lot more polish and charm.
