A review of Into Nothingness by Anchorage Brewing Company. Imperial Stout fermented and aged in Missouri oak Foeders. Finished on Bananas, Madagascar Vanilla Beans, Toasted Coconut, and Raw Coconut. 15% ABV. We worked hard to get the banana character to come out in this beer, it was definitely much more difficult than we anticipated. Literal tons of bananas ($40K worth) later, trying different kinds of bananas, pushing off the release until we got it right, the result is amazing.
