When we make a video about a park, it's usually the only time we talk about that park. It is not necessarily the only time we visit the park.

The reason we wanted to talk about revisiting parks while we sat in the Johnson Branch of Lake Ray Roberts is because when we were there in during spring break of 2018, we were on the Isle du Bois side. There were lots of wonderfully paved trails, but we weren't sure we would ever visit the park again.

In the course of moving, we moved much farther away from our 95 year old aunt in Denton. Ray Roberrts was the closest park to Denton. We love Lake Ray Roberts State Park.

We keep a book in the truck to write down where we've camped, the site we stay in, and sites that look even better than the one where we stayed. That way if we visit the park again, we know where we want to stay based on what we've actually seen.

Giving a park a second look during a different season or choosing a different camping loop, or even going at a different point in the week may change your thoughts about the entire campground.
