Mount Tabayoc | Lake Tabeo | Kabayan Benguet | DIY Day Hike

Описание: This is the first part of our planned twin hike in Kabayan, Bengeut. Day hike to Mt. Tabayoc then camping in Lake Tabeo and for our 2nd hike is Mount Pulag taking the bloody Tawangan trail in the next day.

Mount Tabayoc standing at 2842 MASL is the second highest mountain in Luzon and fifth in the Philippines. It is part of the Mount Pulag National Park and the jump-off is located in barangay Ballay in the town of Kabayan, Benguet. Same jump-off if you want to explore the 4 mystical lakes in Kabayan and hiking the Mt. Pulag via tawangan trail.

This is a DIY hike, here is the sample itinerary for Mt. Tabayoc day hike:

Location/Jump-off point: Ballay Ranger Station
Brgy. Ballay, Kabayan, Benguet

Day 0 - From Manila
11:00 PM - Ride a bus to Baguio City (we ride the Victory Liner in Cubao station)

Day 1
5:00 AM - Arrival in Baguio City
5:15 AM - Buy breakfast and other needs
5:45 AM - Rent taxi to take you to Nardas Terminal in La Trinidad
6:15 AM - Nardas Van Terminal (First trip is from 7 or 8AM depending on the volume of passenger)
8:30 AM - departure to Ballay, Kabayan
11:30 AM - passing Brgy. Ambangeg
12:30 PM - Arrival in Ballay Ranger Station
1:00 PM - Registration/Briefing/preparation
1:30 PM - start trek to Mt. Tabayoc
3:00 PM - Arrival in view point Mt. Tabayoc summit
3:30 PM - start descend
4:30 PM - back to camp site (Lake Tabeo)
5:00 PM - set up camp, rest then dinner
7:00 PM - lights out
