This webinar hosted by Drs. Pavel Abdulkin (Dolomite) & Jake Austin (Malvern) as well as Linda Bratica (Malvern) explores the combined use of the Malvern Panalytical Zetasizer Ultra and the Dolomite Microfluidics Nanoparticle Generation System to generate drug-encapsulating nanoparticles with improved monodispersity and higher encapsulation efficiency, and with better reproducibility than a batch system.
Dolomite Microfluidic systems enable very precise control of the size and composition of the nanoparticles. Applying the Zetasizer Ultra to characterize the nanoparticles enables faster and less expensive development of the microfluidic methodologies, due to the instrument’s unique Multi-Angle DLS (MADLS) capabilities. MADLS provides the speed and size resolution needed to identify distinct populations, allowing quick iteration and consistent production of nanoparticles of a very high quality.
1) Introduction: 0:00 - 2:45
2) Drug encapsulation & the Zetasizer Ultra: 2:45 - 4:55

4) Typical methods of characterization: 16:55 - 20:08
5) Zetasizer Ultra: 20:08 - 21:20
6) Multi-angle dynamic light scattering (MADLS): 21:20 - 23:54
7) A typical day in the lab - before and after microfluidics & MADLS: 23:54 - 28:17
8) Summary: 28:17 - 28:55
9 Q&A Session: 28:55 - 42:33
